The Fights Will Probably Last Longer Than a Single Punch

Based on the popular anime television show, the video game is called One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. The developer of the game is Spike Chunsoft, the studio responsible for other fighting games such as Jump Force and One Piece: Burning Blood. Currently, the company is only saying the game is “coming soon” and isn’t offering any exact release date. The game will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The new trailer depicts the titular character, Saitama, along with many other well-known characters from the television show. The characters show off a plethora of different special skills as the fight each other. The art style of the game is extremely similar to the animated source material, a feature that fans of the anime will surely appreciate.

The trailer fails to show any of the promised 3 vs 3 battles, as it only has one-on-one gameplay. The fighting appears to be similar to other popular fighting games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and Street Fighter. It will be interesting to see how Spike Chunsoft implements the team element into the game.

Whatever the overarching plot of the game remains a mystery. The trailer doesn’t offer any hints towards the plot, although it ends with a shot of Lord Boros. Lord Boros is the main antagonist from the first season of One Punch Man.
