Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Ends the Year in Japan and Begins 2020 in Europe

Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training is releasing for the Nintendo Switch in December for Japan and January for Europe but it has no official release date planned for North America yet. The game continues the Brain Age concept from the Nintendo DS line of software, giving gamers a plethora of thinking mini-games to help them constantly evolve their brains. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training has an official launch of December 27th for Japan and January 3rd in the European market exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training

Earlier in the year it was announced a new entry in the game available for all ages, Brain Age, would release for the Nintendo Switch. The game is getting a launch roll-out starting in Nintendo’s home market of Japan. Brain Age was successful in the Asian, North American and European markets so it’s surprising the game is having a sporadic launch. We hope now that Europe and Japan have official launch dates that North America gets one for Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training soon too. It’s interesting that the game is releasing shortly after Christmas in Japan, opting for giving people something to spend Christmas money on rather than something for parents to track down during the busy holiday season.

Just as Assassin’s Creed Discovery Tour mode is helping students learn about History, we think Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training will be a useful educational tool for the youth of tomorrow that school districts should pick up on. Brain Age helped a generation of gamers keep their brains active and it’s exciting that the Nintendo Switch will continue the educational gaming trend with Brain Training. We think that this is also a great concept Nintendo could implement into the Mobile market with Brain Age Mobile.
