Luigi’s Mansion 3 Is Still Slated For 2019
Luigi’s Mansion 3 didn’t get a release date revealed during Nintendo’s E3 Direct on Tuesday but details were given about the new functions of Luigi’s Poltergust G-00 and a new co-op mode.
Here’s a rundown of the Poltergust’s new mechanics:
- Slam: The Poltergust’s suction grabs ghosts and slams them onto the ground.
- Suction Shot: It can be used to destroy objects in the game world and it’s useful against certain enemy types such as ones who wield shields.
- Burst: Causes a massive gust of air pressure; basically an “area of effect” attack.
- Gooigi: a green goo version of Luigi that helps out with puzzles but can be killed if touched by water; used for local co-op.
The E3 Direct also revealed ScareScraper mode, which is a player local/online co-op mode that supports up to eight players. ScareScraper mode has players fighting ghosts, finding Toads, and completing other challenges.
