Over Two Million People Have Tried Ori and the Will of the Wisps
According to Moon Studios, over two million people have played their recently released Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The developer took to the game’s official Twitter account to share several statistics about the game, showing that 425,000 gamers have finished the title, 7,000 of which beat the game without dying. This encapsulates over 14.5 million hours played, 240 million deaths and 157,000 collectibles found. While Ori and the Blind Forest took a while to accumulate the cult following it eventually found, it looks like Ori and the Will of the Wisps is growing exponentially. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is available for Xbox One and PC right now and it’s a staple of the Game Pass lineup.
Out of the two million people who have played Ori and the Will of the Wisps, 45,000 beat the game in hard mode. 9,000 gamers somehow completed the platform-adventure Metroidvania in under four hours and 118,000 completed the game faster than the developer’s ghost in every Spirit Trial. Considering the amount of gamers to surpass the developer’s ghost, perhaps Moon Studios should consider using one of the 118,000 gamers as a ghost moving forward.
The most explored areas of Niwen in Ori and the Will of the Wisps are Inkwater Marsh, Kwolok’s Hollow and Luma Pools according to the Moon Studios statistics. The most popular side quests among the player base of Ori and the Will of the Wisps are The Brave Moki, The Lost Compass and Into the Darkness. 386,000 Ori and the Will of the Wisps fans have unlocked all of the abilities along their travels and 442,000 were able to beat all Spirit Shrines in the game.
