The Switch Has Had Pretty Solid Sales So Far
As of last month, the Nintendo Switch has managed to sell approximately 19.67 million units, according to official sales figures that were posted on Nintendo’s website.
According to those same figures, the Switch’s software sales have reached over 86 million units and 2017’s Super Mario Odyssey is the best selling title on the Switch so far with approximately 11.17 million units sold.
Our review of Mario’s latest platforming adventure was overwhelmingly positive and awarded it a perfect score.
“Super Mario Odyssey is a masterpiece. It surprised me regularly, delighted me constantly, and smashed my expectations in ways I’d never have predicted,” our reviewer wrote. “The deftly woven combination of nostalgic themes, intuitive gameplay, and incredibly inventive design make this not only the best Mario game to date, but one of the most joyful and compelling games ever made.”
On a separate note, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, another major Switch title that launched last year, has sold approximately 9.32 million units as of this June. Our review of it is currently available to read for those who are interested in it.
