Ori and the Blind Forest Launches on the Switch Later This Month
Action-platformer Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition isn’t coming out on the Nintendo Switch until September 27th but Switch users can try out a free demo that went live on the Nintendo eShop on Friday. Pre-orders for the port also went live on the same day and the game costs $19.99 USD.
As a small creature named Ori, players will save the forest of Nibel from an evil darkness that threatens to destroy Ori’s forest home. Our review for the Xbox One version of the Definitive Edition was glowing with praise for its visuals and compelling story.
“Ori and The Blind Forest was a sleeper hit of 2015 and for good reason, it is a challenging yet remarkable platforming experience that is hard to put down,” the reviewer wrote. “Everything from the art work to the captivating storyline, Ori and The Blind Forest delivers an unforgettable experience.”
“The [Definitive] Edition is the perfect reason for anyone who missed the game the first time around to jump back in but is also a fabulous reason for fans to take Ori through the forest one more time,” they concluded.
