PC Games

Deathloop

Arkane Studios is back and their latest title, Deathloop, is a story-rich and intricate work of art. It takes the premise of Groundhog Day and mixes it with guns, humor and style. Plus, if you like solving a good puzzle, or a murder mystery this should definitely be on your list. Hell, if you loved Dishonored, Bioshock, or any addictive and rewarding shooter, this is worth a playthrough, or two, or three. Who knows, will you ever complete it the first time? There’s only one way to find out.

Forza Horizon 5

Just when you thought Forza Horizon couldn’t get any better, Playground Games had to prove everyone wrong. Forza Horizon 5 is stunningly beautiful with all the different landscapes in Mexico, there’s a ton of events to take part in, and driving around has never felt better. Paul had this to say about Forza Horizon 5, “At its core, Forza Horizon 5 is about having fun behind the wheel. It’s technically excellent and plays brilliantly, but it never takes itself too seriously. I mean, I jumped a pinata float off a mountain at one point. That balance makes the Horizon series the most grin-inducing racing games out there, and arguably one of the largest feathers in Xbox Game Studios’ cap.”

Resident Evil Village

Horror games, much like their movie counterparts, aren’t exactly for everyone. They’ve always got blood, gore, jump scares and creepy characters after all. But if this sounds like exactly what you’ve been looking for, Resident Evil Village does it all so well. In fact, this latest entry into the Resident Evil franchise is dripping in intense horror from beginning to end and will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Of course while this doesn’t exactly fit the Christmas vibe, this is a game worth scooping up for now and into the new year. After all, who doesn’t like a deep dive into the scarier side of things every so often?

Hitman 3

Calling all fans of Agent 47. This well-known assassin who’s forever remained a ghost is back at it again to end the latest trilogy from IO Interactive and this time he’s going to new and exciting locales. The attention to detail and overall level design leaves nothing to be desired in Hitman 3. Throw in some cinematics that are sure to pull you even further into this dark web and you’ll be hooked in no time. Add to that the best graphics the franchise has ever had and you may as well wrap this up in a bow and place it under the tree right now.

Call of Duty Vanguard

Call of Duty Vanguard is the most recent release in the COD franchise and so far the fans have been absolutely loving it. And not just in the obligatory, long-time player type of way either. With breakable environments, fast-paced combat, and a lot more meat on its bones (a whopping 20 multiplayer maps) at launch, there’s a lot to be excited about this time around. I mean, it’s still a COD game, but it’s better than ever. Here’s a little snippet from Trevor’s review, “Call of Duty: Vanguard is an incredibly robust package offering up tons of content for the buck. Zombies mode is far more enjoyable and varied, the single-player campaign is a visual stunner, and 20 MP maps at launch is nothing to sneeze at. If you have passed over Call of Duty over the last several years, it might be time to come back.”
