I Ain’t Scared of No Remastered Ghost!

Rumors have been around for a while that the well-received Ghostbusters: The Video Game is getting remastered for the PS4. A few weeks ago the game was found to be listed on a Taiwanese rankings board. Today we finally have confirmation from developer Saber Interactive that this is, in fact, true. Furthermore, we are privy to a new trailer that harkens back to many familiar aspects of the beloved franchise and shows off the improved graphics. I mean, can anyone see the Pillsbury Dough Boy and not think of a colossal version tormenting New York?

It is also very exciting to see the original cast back to voice their iconic characters. Any game smart enough to utilize the incredible talents of Bill Murray is already worth a look. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis are the writers of the movies and actually lended a hand during the creation of the game’s script. This lends legitimacy to the game as well as help capture the magic of the movies.

The original version of the game hails back to 2009. It was met with a wave of very positive reviews, with people commenting that it stays true to the themes and vibe of the franchise. This is in comparison to the recent 2016 Ghostbusters mobile game that did not garner a positive reception.
