Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Confirmed to Have No Microtransactions or Multiplayer

Back during EA Play last year Respawn Entertainment shared a few tidbits of information about their Star Wars game in the works, revealing the title as Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Now, ten months later, more pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit into place. Just a few days ago a mysterious teaser for the game dropped and tomorrow it’s expected that fans will find out a whole lot more during the Star Wars Celebration panel. Today however, Respawn confirmed the game will be single player only.

Vince Zampella, Head of Respawn Entertainment, made an announcement at the Star Wars Celebration in an interview with IGN stating that Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will have no multiplayer gameplay whatsoever and will also feature no microtransactions. And he’s certain on this fact saying, “No multiplayer, no microtransactions, it’s a story game.” As you might imagine, there doesn’t seem to be too many complaints about it either.

Following the reveal from Zampella, other developers from EA, including Blair Brown, Producer for Respawn, and Ben Walke from DICE, took to Twitter to confirm this fact. You can check out the tweets below.

Vince Zampella also mentioned that you will be playing as a padawan who survived after Order 66, which for those who aren’t aware of Star Wars lore, was the command at the end of Episode 3 that was made with the intention of wiping out all Jedi. Other than this little tidbit however, Zampella didn’t reveal anything else.

There seems to be much more to learn during tomorrow’s panel. What do you think Respawn will be announcing? Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
