God of War Developers Thank Fans in a New Video

We’re just short of one year since the 2018 Game of the Year winner God of War was released and Santa Monica Studio decided to celebrate in the sweetest way. The developers of the hugely successful and multiple award winning title have seen just how much fans have loved their game over the past year and decided to give a warm thank you of their own.

This past year has seen an abundance of love for God of War, with fans creating stellar fan art, music, in-game selfies, getting creative with cosplay and so much more and this time around it’s Santa Monica Studio that wanted to show off a little of that same love for the game. Here’s what they had to say, “Together we all dream big dreams. Dreaming big has led to an amazing sense of accomplishment for all of us here at Santa Monica Studio and it’s the belief in that dream that kept us going, from the very moment we set out to create a new beginning for God of War. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing the new God of War.” The developers recently released a video highlighting some of their favorite fan moments over the past year, thanking everyone for their support. You can check out the video below.

And if that video wasn’t enough to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, Sony has also just dropped a brand new dynamic God of War theme and it’s completely free! The theme, titled Your Journey Awaits, can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store right now. The dynamic PS4 theme is gorgeous as it showcases Kratos and Atreus floating along the water in their boat. You can check it out for yourself right here. In addition to the dynamic theme, this Wednesday you can also pick up a God of War Anniversary character PS4 avatar set that’s 100% free as well.

What do you think about the developers heartfelt video? Will you be picking up the free dynamic God of War theme? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
