Limbs Aren’t Gonna Get Chopped Off Left & Right in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Star Wars fans have been bummed about the seeming lack of dismemberment in the recently released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay. However, according to the game’s lead designer Brandon Kelch, there’s dismemberment but just in major story moments.
Kelch told Shacknews that the developer team at Respawn Entertainment “used the films as reference” while working on the game with Disney. The team realized that moments where Star Wars characters got dismembered were “used as powerful moments” so Respawn will use dismemberment in Fallen Order in a similar way.

“So far, Fallen Order looks gorgeous,” the article’s author wrote. “All the sights and sounds are absolutely Star Wars, which is something EA has gotten good at delivering. Some of the character animations came with a little chop, but these are standard E3 demo woes bubbling to the surface. The combat has the potential for major depth (assuming the skill tree has many branches), and the world-building touches are numerous.”
