Treyarch Has Begun Teasing New Black Ops 4 Blackout Map Updates
Next week, after months of waiting patiently, fans will receive the latest map update for Call of Duty:Black Ops 4 Blackout. With only a few short days to wait, Treyarch thought it would be fun to give players a little teaser before the big reveal.
With one short week until a brand new update drops for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch has recently taken to Twitter to tease the map changes coming to the popular battle royale game mode Blackout. The tease comes in the form of a picture featuring a bunch of red markers all around the map. Now, it’s hard to miss that the biggest ‘X’ is located on the bottom right corner of the map, where Turbine currently sits. Though there hasn’t been any confirmation, some have suggested that Buried, from Black Ops 2, might make an appearance here. And why? Because fans have recently been finding items near the area, including a sign from Buried.
Considering the big update next week signifies the beginning of a brand new season for Blackout fans can probably expect to see more than just one big change coming to the game, though none of the others have been hinted at other than by the recent tweet. You can check this out below.

At this current moment, if you were to go to all of the points in-game that have been marked on the map provided by Treyarch, you’ll find small sticks with ribbons hanging off of them. It will be interesting to see what exactly this means because if there are going to be new areas added in all of these locations, the map is going to suddenly be a whole lot bigger! With that said, all of the markers are things like trailers and simple houses which could mean that there will be more subtle changes instead.
This recent tease isn’t the first official time that the developer has teased some new content would be incoming to Blackout either, as David Vonderhaar did reveal brand new content would be coming alongside season 2. Do you think Buried is going to make an appearance? Is there an area you’d like to be added to the Blackout map? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
